ABOUT US
Green Valley Islamic College was established in January 2002 by the Muslim League of NSW Incorporated. In that year, there were 39 students spread amongst 2 classes from Kindergarten to Year 2, with two full-time teachers. Our enrolments continue to grow each year and currently there are 510 students in Kindergarten to Year 8, spread amongst 21 classes, with 40 staff members. In 2007, the first year of High School being Year 7, was in operation. Future plans are to extend the school up to Year 12.
The school is located in Green Valley which is 10 minutes from Liverpool and is situated next to the Green Valley Mosque.
The College has adopted the NSW Board of Studies Curriculum which includes the 6 Key Learning Areas and apart from the Board of Studies curricula it provides education in Computer Studies, Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies and Quran Studies. It aims to do this by providing highly trained and qualified staff, who have experience in a wide range of teaching and learning strategies, to cater for the individual differences and the needs of the students.
